Mission and Vision
I’m Annick Zweers, founder of Noma Communication, which stands for “No Obstacles in Multilingual Affairs”. I started Noma out of my passion for languages and EU affairs. With 7 years of experience in Brussels and in EU economic and science policy, I have developed a deep understanding of how languages, cultures, and communication styles shape cooperation across Europe.
Working in EU affairs for over seven years, I’ve experienced first-hand how rich and rewarding it is to work across languages and cultures in Europe. Every language opens a different world: a different way of thinking, persuading, and building trust. At the same time, even the most experienced professionals can find it challenging to communicate consistently and strategically across languages and contexts – whether in meetings, presentations, negotiations, or everyday cross-border collaboration
That’s why I created Noma: to help business professionals, international teams, and EU policy advisors communicate more effectively across languages and cultures. My focus is on European business and intercultural communication in English, French, German, and Dutch. Clients don’t just use a language correctly; they learn how to adapt their messages to different European contexts, communicate clearly in professional situations, and express themselves with confidence and impact.
I hold a Master in European Studies and have supported numerous professionals in improving their Dutch, German, French, and English communication. My approach combines language expertise, intercultural insight, and practical EU knowledge, helping clients communicate with clarity, confidence, and effectiveness across multilingual European environments. I speak Dutch natively and hold C2-level certifications in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
